North Light is the cool, neutral side of negative film, with natural greens and honest skin rather than a warm cast. It is our take on the cool, clean Kodak Portra 160, the neutral counterpart to the warm Portra 400 of our Everyday 400. It renders in the camera as you shoot, so everyday frames land finished, straight out of camera.
Your RAW is saved untouched alongside the graded JPEG, so you always keep the option to grade differently later.

They are a warm and cool pair. Everyday 400 is our Portra 400: warmer, with golden skin. North Light is our take on Portra 160: cooler, flatter and more restrained, with gentle contrast and muted colour. Reach for North Light in overcast, winter and window light, and Everyday 400 in sun.
That is deliberate. North Light is a low-contrast, desaturated rendering built for cool light, so it looks gentle rather than punchy. Expose about -1/3 to -2/3, use AWBc indoors or the Daylight preset in shade, and avoid AWBw, which fights the look. If you want punch instead, Vibrance is the opposite end of the range.
No. The one free look is Amber 200, our Kodak Gold rendering, on the free LUMIX LUTs page. It is a full, unrestricted .cube, so it is the honest way to see how a Real Time LUT behaves on your camera before buying. North Light is $9 on its own, or $39 for all seven.
Any body with Real Time LUT: the S9, S5II, S5IIX, S1II, S1RII, G9II, GH7 and L10. It is a 33-point .cube file, the size LUMIX loads in-camera, and it goes on via the LUMIX Lab app or straight from an SD card. The install guide covers both.
Yes. It is a standard .cube, so it loads in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut, Lightroom and LumaFusion as well as in-camera. The licence covers personal and commercial work.
