Which LUMIX cameras have Real Time LUT?

Real Time LUT is the feature that bakes a film look into your JPEGs and video in-camera. Here is every LUMIX body that has it in 2026 — and, just as usefully, which older cameras never got it and why.

Short answer

As of 2026, eight LUMIX cameras have Real Time LUT: the full-frame S1RII, S1II, S5II, S5IIX and S9, and the Micro Four Thirds GH7, G9II and the fixed-lens L10. They all use the same .cube LUTs and the same in-camera system, so one look renders consistently across the whole family.

Genuinely older bodies — the GH6, GH5 II, original S5 and the first S1 line — never got Real Time LUT and can't, because it needs the newer processing engine. Recent firmware only expanded the feature on cameras that already had it.

Every one of these applies the LUT to JPEGs (and to video), previews it live, and keeps the RAW clean. They each hold up to 39 LUTs in-camera.

Native or added by firmware?

Real Time LUT arrived with the LUMIX S5II generation and has shipped on every compatible body since. It is not something a much older camera can be updated into — it depends on the newer engine those bodies use. What firmware has done through 2025 and 2026 is deepen the feature on cameras that already have it: applying LUTs to photos as well as video, and adding controls like grain, colour noise and sharpness so a look can be fine-tuned in-camera.

So if you are hoping a favourite older LUMIX will "get" Real Time LUT in a future update, the honest answer is that it won't. The good news is that a compatible body is now available at every size and price, from the pocket S9 to the premium L10.

Which LUMIX cameras do not have it

These popular bodies do not have Real Time LUT, and won't gain it: the GH6, GH5 and GH5 II, the original S5, and the first S-series line (S1, S1R, S1H). They remain excellent cameras, but for in-camera film looks you would use LUMIX's older Photo Style and creative controls, or edit afterwards. If baking the look in-camera matters to you, one of the eight bodies above is the way in.

Same look, any of them

One .cube, the same film look on every body

Because Real Time LUT uses standard .cube files, a LumiLUTs look renders consistently across the S9, S5II, GH7, G9II, L10 and the rest — Kodak Portra 400, Kodak Gold 200, Fujifilm greens and more, shown with real before-and-after frames.

Real Time LUT compatibility FAQ

Which LUMIX cameras have Real Time LUT?

As of 2026, Real Time LUT is on eight LUMIX bodies: the full-frame S1RII, S1II, S5II, S5IIX and S9, and the Micro Four Thirds GH7, G9II and the fixed-lens L10. All use the same .cube LUTs and the same in-camera system.

Did older LUMIX cameras get Real Time LUT through a firmware update?

No. Real Time LUT relies on the newer LUMIX processing engine, so genuinely older bodies like the GH6, GH5 II, original S5 and the first S1 line never received it and cannot, even with firmware. Recent 2026 firmware instead expanded the LUT feature set — such as adding grain and colour-noise controls — on cameras that already had Real Time LUT.

Does the LUMIX GH6 have Real Time LUT?

No. The GH6 predates Real Time LUT and did not receive it. For a Micro Four Thirds LUMIX with Real Time LUT, look at the GH7 or the G9II.

Do all these cameras use the same LUTs?

Yes. Real Time LUT uses standard .cube files, which are camera-agnostic, so the same LUT loads and looks consistent across the S9, S5II, GH7, G9II, L10 and the rest. A .cube tuned to LUMIX colour science works on all of them.

Which LUMIX is best for shooting with LUTs?

They all share the same Real Time LUT system, so pick by how you shoot: the S9 for a compact full-frame, the S5II for value hybrid, the GH7 for video, the G9II for fast photography, and the L10 for a premium fixed-lens compact. The look comes from the LUT, not the body.
